Dr. Ellis is a board-certified internal medicine physician. She graduated from the University of Toronto in Ontario, Canada with a bachelor of arts degree and completed her medical degree at the University of the West Indies in Kingston, Jamaica. After medical school, Dr. Ellis completed her residency in internal medicine at the State University of New York at Buffalo and the Sisters Hospital in Buffalo, NY.

Prior to joining Tampa General Medical Group, Dr. Ellis practiced as a primary care physician as well as hospitalist at medical facilities in New York and Michigan. Most recently, Dr. Ellis worked in private practice providing primary care services including preventive medicine targeting high-risk patients and families to provide outreach to ensure compliance with disease management programs. With over 15 years in private practice, her special interests include diabetes and preventive care.

Dr. Ellis is a member of the American College of Physicians and the American Medical Association.

Michael Escobar is an APRN practicing family medicine. He graduated with a bachelor of science degree in nursing from the State College of Florida, in Bradenton. Michael went on to earn his master of science degree in nursing from the University of Tampa. Before joining TGMG, Michael cared for emergency patients at Brandon Regional Hospital and St. Joseph's Hospital South. He has volunteered with organizations such as the Tampa Bay Heart Walk and Hillsborough County's Head Start Program. Michael is fluent in Spanish.

APRN Escobar treats patients of all ages.

Dr. Ramirez has provided health care to the entire community from babies to seniors and everyone in between. She earned her medical degree from the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa and her training in internal medicine and pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, TX. Dr. Ramirez is board certified in both internal medicine and pediatrics. She also received her bachelor's degree in biochemistry and molecular biology/psychology, Suma cum laude, in 2002 from Rollins College, Winter Park, FL. Dr. Ramirez has received many academic/clinical honors including Clinical Excellence in Internal Medicine, Alpha Epsilon Delta Honor Society, and Arnold P. Gold Award for Humanism in Medicine. She is a wife and mother of three.
