Dr. Battaglia graduated with a bachelor of science in biology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He earned his medical degree from Spartan Health Sciences University in Vieux Fort, St. Lucia, where he was a member of the honor society. Dr. Battaglia completed his residency in general surgery at Atlanta Medical Center. Dr. Battaglia is experienced in broad-based general surgery procedures, including hernia, gallbladder, colon and rectal, skin and soft tissue, and thyroid surgeries; advanced laparoscopic procedures; critical care and ICU management. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons. When not working, Dr. Battaglia enjoys spending time with his daughter, playing golf, hunting and fishing. Dr. Battaglia is accepting new patients and welcomes most major insurance plans.
