He completed his cardiothoracic surgery residency at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York, where he served as a clinical instructor focusing on heart transplantation and mechanical circulatory support devices. Dr. Molina is board certified in Thoracic Surgery and General Surgery.
Dr. Molina has been practicing medicine for 10 years. He is proficient in all aspects of adult cardiac surgery including surgical coronary revascularization, aortic aneurysms, valve surgery, and complex reoperative surgery. He specializes in durable LVAD implantation, heart transplantation and surgical therapies for cardiogenic shock. Dr. Molina publishes and presents extensively in his field at national and international meetings. He has been an Investigator in several LVAD trials.
