Christopher Massad, MD, is board certified in cardiovascular medicine, echocardiography, cardiac CT, nuclear cardiology, and internal medicine. He treats patients with hypertension, hyperlipidemia, coronary artery disease, and heart failure, among many other cardiovascular conditions with special interest in prevention, hypertension, and multimodality imaging.
He earned his medical degree from Morehouse School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine at Emory University School of Medicine where he also served as Chief Medical Resident for an additional year before completing his cardiology fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio.
In his spare time, Dr. Massad enjoys spending time with wife and four children, woodworking, exercising and cycling.

Shailesh Malla, M.D. earned his medical degree from Tribhuyan University Institute of Medicine, the premier medical school in Nepal. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Jacobi Medical Center and his fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Montefiore Medical Center in the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York. Board certified in Cardiovascular Disease (ABIM), Nuclear Cardiology (CBNC) and Echocardiography (NBE), Dr. Malla brings over 10 years of experience to Piedmont Heart. Prior to joining Piedmont Heart, Dr. Malla was a clinical cardiologist with ACG. Dr. Malla is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology who specializes in invasive cardiology, general and consultative cardiology, trans-thoracic and transesophogeal echocardiography, nuclear stress testing and diagnostic cardiac catheterization. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the American College of Physicians. He has been involved in several research projects in the areas of congestive heart failure and echocardiography and has published several articles in scientific journals. He is an instructor for ACLS as well. Dr. Malla is accepting new patients and welcomes most major insurance plans. Varun Pattisapu, MD, is board certified in nuclear cardiology, internal medicine, and echocardiography. He provides treatment for cardiovascular disease, women's cardiovascular disease, coronary artery disease, heart failure, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes, obesity, arrhythmias, coronary microvascular dysfunction, coronary vasospasm, endothelial dysfunction. Dr. Pattisapu's special interests include mentoring medical trainees and teaching.
In his spare time, he enjoys playing guitar, pickle ball, tennis, and traveling.

Antonios Sideris, M.D. is a cardiothoracic surgeon who specializes in the treatment of patients with malignancies of the chest, including lung and esophageal cancer, chest wall tumors, mesothelioma, mediastinal and thymic tumors as well as benign chest disorders. He uses minimally invasive techniques including robotic approaches to treat these conditions. In addition to English, he is fluent in Greek and Spanish.

Dr. Prashant Kaul received his medical degree from the University of Cambridge, UK and completed postgraduate residency training in Internal Medicine at the Hammersmith and Royal Brompton Hospitals in London, UK before completing a second internal medicine residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York, NY. He completed fellowships in General Cardiology, Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging and Interventional Cardiology at Duke University Medical Center, Durham, NC. During his fellowship, he was the recipient of the Jess Peter award for the best Interventional cardiology fellow.Dr. Kaul is an interventional cardiologist with an interest in complex coronary and peripheral vascular interventions. He is the former Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory & Interventional Cardiology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he also served as Medical Director of the Chest Pain Center and Director of the Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Training Program. He continues as an adjunct Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. His interests include the management of coronary artery disease and acute coronary syndromes, systems of care in primary PCI, trans-radial coronary angiography and complex interventions, chronic total occlusions, percutaneous ventricular support devices, peripheral endovascular interventions and quality and value based care. He has published numerous manuscripts, abstracts and book chapters and has served as the site principal investigator for multiple clinical trials. He has delivered more than 100 lectures on interventional cardiology topics both nationally and internationally and is a member of several national committees including the American College of Cardiology (ACC) Interventional Section Leadership Council. Dr. Kaul is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology.

Edward Clermont, MD specializes in cardiac electrophysiology, which focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disorders. Dr. Clermont brings a tremendous amount of expertise in caring for patients with many heart rhythm conditions and is be able to diagnose and treat these patients at Piedmont-Eastside Medical Center, in their state-of-the-art electrophysiology lab.

Morgan L. Cox, M.D., MHS, received her undergraduate degree in chemistry from Butler University. She is board certified in general surgery.
Dr. Cox specializes in a broad range of vascular surgery pathology including aortic disease, carotid artery disease, peripheral arterial disease, dialysis access, and superficial and deep venous disease.
In her spare time, Dr. Cox enjoys spending time with her family and dogs, watching soccer, paddle boarding, and traveling.

Dr. Loungani earned his medical degree at Medical University of South Carolina. He then completed his internal medicine residency in the Osler Medical Training Program at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. He went on to complete fellowships in Cardiovascular Disease and Advanced Heart Failure & Transplant Cardiology at Duke University Hospital. He also completed a research fellowship at the Duke Clinical Research Institute.
Dr. Loungani specializes in Cardiomyopathy, Advanced Heart Failure, and Cardiac Transplantation. He additionally has a special interest in caring for patients with Cardiac Amyloidosis. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology, and most recently board certified in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology. He is accepting new patients and welcomes most major insurance plans.
In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and exploring his new home in Georgia.
