Pratik Patel, DO

About

Dr. Pratik Patel is board-certified in cardiology. He offers diagnosis and treatment for coronary artery disease, atrial fibrillation, heart failure (HFrEF, HFpEF), valvular heart disease and mitral regurgitation. His special interests include preventative cardiology and geriatric care, as well as utilizing procedures such as TEE and cardioversions.

Along with his family, Dr. Patel enjoys traveling, listening to music, as well as meditation and yoga.

Dr. Linton earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Fla. She earned her medical degree from Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta where she graduated cum laude and a member of the medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha. She then completed her residency in internal medicine at the Duke University Medical Center in Durham, N.C., and a cardiology fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta. Dr. Linton is also board-certified in general cardiology, nuclear cardiology and internal medicine. Prior to joining Piedmont Heart of Dallas, Dr. Linton served as a critical care physician with WellStar Windy Hill Hospital and the Wesley Woods Geriatric Hospital. She has training in invasive diagnostic procedures including left and right heart catheterization and transesophageal echocardiography. She is also skilled in a variety of cardiac imaging modalities including transthoracic echocardiography, cardiac CT angiography and vascular and nuclear imaging. Dr. Linton has been involved with several cardiology research projects and is a member of the American College of Cardiology, Association of Black Cardiologists and the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology. She has an interest in preventative cardiology and women's health. She is actively involved in community outreach through mentoring, health screenings and heart health talks. In her spare time, she enjoys tennis, running, yoga, reading and traveling.

Jayaraman Venkatesan, M.D. earned his medical degree from Manipal Academy of Higher Education and completed his residency at Coney Island Hospital. Concluding his education, Dr. Venkatesan completed his fellowship Maimonides Medical Center. Dr. Venkatesan specializes in interventional cardiology. He has over 10 years of experience in treating complex coronary artery disease and peripheral vascular disease.

Dr. Venkatesan is board-certified in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology.

Dr. Joseph I. Miller received his undergraduate degree and medical degree from Emory University. He completed his internal medicine residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center then returned to Emory to complete a cardiology fellowship. Dr. Miller was the recipient of the Emory University Attending Teaching Award, Department of Medicine and was chosen as the Emerging Science of Lipid Management - Emerging Leader in Field for five consecutive years. He is a past recipient of the National Health Institute's (NIH) fellowship training award and is actively involved in multiple research projects. Dr. Miller is currently a clinical assistant professor at Georgia Health Sciences University and an associate professor of medicine at Mercer University. Dr. Miller is board certified in cardiology and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology and has participated in several national committees. Dr. Miller has reviewed and chaired sessions specifically in topics related to prevention at the Annual Scientific Sessions. He is a member of the American Medical Association and has served as an editorial board reviewer for the Archives of Internal Medicine, Circulation, and Clinical Cardiology.

Abdullah Omar, M.D. earned his medical degree from SGUSOM and completed his residency at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University. Concluding his education, Dr. Omar completed his fellowship in Cardiac Electrophysiology at the University of Virginia.

Andrew J.P. Klein, M.D., FACC, FSCAI, earned his bachelor's degree from University of Notre Dame and his medical degree from MCP Hahnemann School of Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed his residency in internal medicine at University of California San Francisco. He then completed fellowships in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at University of Colorado Health Sciences and a fellowship in clinical research at the University of Wisconsin.

Prior to joining Piedmont, Dr. Klein was in practice at the John Cochran VA Medical Center in St. Louis where he served as the Director of Cardiovascular Disease Research and the Director of the Endovascular Laboratory. While there, he was named for the last 3 years as one of St. Louis's Top Doctors by Saint Louis Magazine. Board certified in endovascular medicine, vascular medicine, interventional cardiology and cardiovascular diseases and internal medicine, Dr. Klein is an fellow of the American College of Cardiology (ACC) and Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Intervention.(SCAI). An expert in complex coronary and peripheral intervention, he is a member of several SCAI committees.

In his spare time, Dr. Klein enjoys spending time with family, including his spouse Christina Klein, M.D., who is a transplant physician at Piedmont, and their two beautiful children. Dr. Klein is an avid exercise fanatic having run several marathons and triathlons. He is also an outdoor enthusiast having backpacked across Joshua Tree National Park and summited Half Dome with Christina when they were residents together at UCSF. The entire Klein family are skiers and look forward to returning each year to the mountains for moguls, deep powder and glade skiing. Dr. Klein welcomes new patients and accepts most insurance plans.

Rajeev Singh image

Rajeev Singh, MD

Rajeev Singh, MD, MBA earned his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine and completed his internal medicine residency at University of Texas: Southwestern. He went on to complete cardiology fellowship at the Krannert Institute of Cardiology at Indiana University followed by additional training in advanced heart failure and transplant training at Washington University in St. Louis. He earned his Master of Business Administration in medical school and served as chief cardiology fellow while at Indiana University. He received his undergraduate degree in biology and history from University of Southern Indiana and is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology.

Dr. Singh is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the Heart Failure Society of America, and the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation. He is certified in echocardiography by the National Board of Echocardiography and nuclear medicine by the Nuclear Board of Cardiology. He specializes in the treatment of heart failure patients who may require advanced therapies, mechanical circulatory support and/or transplantation. He has a special interest in end stage heart failure and management by remote monitoring and telemedicine.

In his spare time, Dr. Singh enjoys spending time with his family, reading, cycling, and exploring the beautiful parks Georgia has to offer.

Enas Mohammed Basha, NP earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Brenau University and her Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from the University of South Alabama. She is board certified as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) by the American Nurses Credentialing Center since 2018.

She is very family-oriented and spends most of her time with her two children. She loves to travel with her kids, visiting new places, especially beach towns. Clinically, her interests focus on the unique cardiovascular needs of women, prevention and management of cardiovascular risk factors, and prioritizing patient education on the importance of heart-healthy habits.
