Piedmont Physicians Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine Buckhead

Blaine Walsh, PA-C is a board certified Physician Assistant and is licensed to practice in the state of Georgia. He received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Georgia and then earned a Master of Physician Assistant studies from Augusta University. He is a member of the Georgia Association of Physician Assistants as well as the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
Blaine's passion for Sleep Medicine and Pulmonology as well as his desire to provide excellent patient care led him to seek out a position as a Physician Assistant at Piedmont Healthcare. He provides services and treatments for adults and offers new patient visits, same day, and follow up appointments. He has a special interest in obstructive sleep apnea, insomnia, and narcolepsy.
In his spare time, Blaine enjoys playing golf, spending time with friends and family and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs.

Susan M. Mucha, M.D. was born and raised in Augusta, Georgia and received her medical degree from the Medical University of the Americas in Nevis, West Indies. She completed her residency at Stamford Hospital where she earned the Alfred W. Wolfsohn, M.D. Award for Excellence in Clinical Medicine. Dr. Mucha completed her fellowship in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA and her fellowship in Sleep Medicine at Emory University. She holds board certifications in critical care medicine, pulmonary disease, sleep medicine, and internal medicine. Dr. Mucha has presented at national meetings and has published in medical journals. She is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians, the Society of Critical Care Medicine, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Mucha is fluent in Spanish and French.
Dr. Mucha specializes in pulmonary disease, critical care and sleep medicine. She treats patients ages 16 and older. She has a special interest in obstructive sleep apnea and narcolepsy.
In her spare time, Dr. Mucha enjoys traveling, playing the piano, attending concerts, spending time with family and her rescue dog, and honing her skills as a blossoming foodie.

C. Bryce Hartley II M.D., FCCP, earned his medical degree from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, N.C. He completed his internal medicine residency at Tulane University Medical Center. His pulmonary residency and pulmonary and critical care medicine fellowships were completed at Georgetown University. He received his undergraduate degree in chemistry from the University of North Carolina. Prior to joining Piedmont Physicians, Dr. Hartley was in practice with Georgia Lung Associates. He is board certified in pulmonary medicine. Dr. Hartley has special interest in pleural disease, cough syndromes and airway disorders including asthma, COPD, bronchiectasis and bronchiolitis. Faraa Mobini has been practicing medicine for 13 years. Prior to joining Piedmont, Faraa was working in a private Ear, Nose, and Throat, Allergy, and Sleep Medicine practice. She performed minor procedures such as flexible laryngoscopies, nasal endoscopies, endoscopic nasal debridements, ear wax removal, sinus cultures, fitting of oral appliances, fitting of CPAP masks, and programing of Inspire hypoglossal nerve stimulators. She was also the research coordinator for three hypoglossal nerve stimulators for treatment of obstructive sleep apnea.
Faraa Mobini specializes in sleep medicine, allergy, pulmonology, and otolaryngology. She has a special interest in sleep apnea treatments to include CPAP, BiPAP, custom made oral appliances, and hypoglossal nerve stimulators, as well as other sleep issues such as insomnia, restless leg syndrome, narcolepsy, and shift work sleep disorder.
In her spare time, Faraa Mobini enjoys spending time with her family and friends and working as a group fitness instructor. She enjoys running, weight training, hiking, and traveling. Faraa Mobini is accepting new patients and welcomes most major insurance plans.

Dr. Walker is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary disease, critical care medicine and pediatrics. He earned his medical degree from West Virginia University. He completed his internship and residency at Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center, followed by a clinical fellowship at the University of Rochester. Dr. Walker is a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians and the American Academy of Pediatrics, as well as a member of the American Thoracic Society. He has published numerous scientific articles in peer-reviewed medical journals.
Dr. Walker specializes in airway disease, especially bronchiectasis and cystic fibrosis. He is passionate about improving the quality of life in patients with these diseases.
In his spare time, Dr. Walker enjoys cooking, traveling, and trying in vain to stay in shape.

Jermaine M. Jackson, M.D., FCCP, graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of science in biology from Tennessee State University in Nashville. He earned his medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis. He completed his residency in internal medicine and was subsequently chief resident at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Jackson completed his fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, N.C. Prior to joining Piedmont Physicians, Dr. Jackson was in practice with Georgia Lung Associates.

Dr. Jackson holds board certifications in critical care medicine, pulmonary medicine and internal medicine. He is a member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine and a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians. Dr. Jackson's philosophy of medicine begins with empathy, compassion and competency. He adheres firmly to the belief that patients should always come first. His charisma and tenacity make him highly regarded by patients and colleagues alike.

Alexander Gluzman, M.D., earned his medical degree from Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Ga. He completed his residency and pulmonary and criticalcare training at Emory University. He received his undergraduate degree from Emory University. Prior to joining Piedmont Physicians, Dr. Gluzman was in practice with Georgia Lung Associates. Dr. Gluzman has been practicing medicine for 10 years. He holdsboard certifications in critical care medicine, pulmonary disease and internal medicine. Dr. Gluzman specializes in advanced bronchoscopy techniques such as EBUS and electromagnetic navigational bronchoscopy. He will be providing intensive care coverage at Piedmont Atlanta, and is fluent in Russian. In his spare time, Dr. Gluzman enjoys spending time with family, reading and traveling. Allene Harrison, FNP-C, holds a Master of Science in Nursing from Mercer University and is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner by American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She started with Piedmont Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine in 2013, and has experience in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. Her professional journey has equipped her with the expertise to handle complex cases involving COPD, asthma, lung cancer screening, and other pulmonary disorders. She is passionate about patient education and empowerment, ensuring that each individual understands their condition and treatment options. Her approach is to create a supportive and informative environment where patients feel comfortable and engaged in their care.

Outside of work you will find her on her paddleboard, in a kayak or hiking. She loves spending time with family and friends and her beloved golden retriever. She loves to travel, a good book and UGA football.

Manoj Maddali, MD, MS, is a board-certified pulmonologist specializing in interstitial lung disease (ILD). He completed his medical degree at Johns Hopkins University, residency in internal medicine at the University of California, San Francisco, and fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Stanford University, where he pursued advanced training in ILD. He also holds a Master's degree in Biomedical Informatics from Stanford.

Before joining Piedmont, Dr. Maddali was in practice at Stanford Healthcare. He is board certified in pulmonary disease, critical care medicine, and internal medicine, and is board eligible in clinical informatics. He is an active member of the American Thoracic Society, American College of Chest Physicians, and the American Medical Informatics Association.

Dr. Maddali's research focuses on precision medicine in lung diseases, biomedical big data, and clinical decision support. His work has been published in leading journals including Lancet Respiratory Medicine and the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine.

Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his wife and baby, aviation, backpacking, and reading.

Coy Lassiter, M.D., graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of science in biology from the University of Georgia. He earned his medical degree from Mercer School of Medicine in Macon, Ga. He completed his residency in internal medicine, as well as his pulmonary and critical care fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine. He served as chief resident of internal medicine at Emory University Hospital from 2003 to 2004.

Prior to joining Piedmont Physicians, Dr. Lassiter was in practice with Georgia Lung Associates and has been practicing medicine for 13 years. He holds board certifications in critical care medicine, pulmonary disease and internal medicine and has training in advanced bronchoscopy. He prides himself on being a well-rounded physician and maintains special interests in interventional bronchoscopy, lung cancer and pulmonary thromboembolism.

Dr. Lassiter is considered to be warm and friendly and his fellow physicians describe him as having a great vision and leadership for the practice of medicine. His patients consider him compassionate to their needs and devoted to excellence in medical practice.

Craig M. Patterson, M.D., completed his fellowship at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center and the Ochsner Clinic Foundation in New Orleans, La. During his post-graduate training, he was selected as the inaugural Russell C. Klein Visiting Fellow for the LSUHSC Global Pulmonary Exchange Program with Ege University in Izmir, Turkey. He previously completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and medical school at the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He is a proud graduate of Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas and an Eagle Scout. Before joining Piedmont Physicians, Dr. Patterson was in practice with Georgia Lung Associates. He is board-certified in pulmonary disease, critical care medicine, and internal medicine. His professional interests include pulmonary hypertension, venous thromboembolic disease, and critical care medicine. He is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians and a participant in the ACCP's Pulmonary Vascular Disease One Network. Dr. Patterson enjoys cooking and travel. Lori Reed, NP-C, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner and licensed to practice in the state of Georgia. She completed her Bachelor of Science in nursing at Georgia Southern University and then earned her Master of Science degree at Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia. Prior to joining Piedmont Physicians Georgia Lung, Lori worked on a cardiac/telemetry unit at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital for seven years. Lori believes that providing good quality, compassionate and efficient care in a relaxed environment is important to help patients attain a better understanding of their condition and treatment. Lori lives in the Atlanta area with her husband and two children. She enjoys cheering for the University of Georgia Bulldogs, exercising, and spending time with family and friends. She also helps to lead her church confirmation Sunday school class.

Paul Zolty, M.D., earned his medical degree from the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. He completed his residency at the Mt. Sinai Medical Center. Prior to joining Piedmont Physicians Georgia Lung, Dr. Zolty was in practice with Georgia Lung Associates. He is a member of the American Sleep Disorders Association as well as the American College of Chest Physicians. He has special interests and expertise in all aspects of sleep medicine and pulmonary medicine. Dr. Zolty has particular and active interest and expertise in the following areas of sleep: sleep and cardiovascular disease, obstructive sleep apnea, and diseases and abnormal sleep behavior. Dr. Zolty is highly regarded by his colleagues and patients. He is described as having a great sense of humor and enjoys a good laugh with his patients. James W. Chang, DO, FCCP, received his undergraduate degree from University of California, San Diego. He earned his medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Georgia Campus. He completed his internal medicine residency at Michigan State University and pulmonary and critical care medicine fellowship at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Chang is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary disease and critical care medicine. Dr. Chang has presented at national conferences and published in peer-reviewed journals. He is a member of the American Thoracic Society, American College of Chest Physicians and the Society of Critical Care Medicine.

Dr. Chang specializes in pulmonary disease and critical care medicine. He has special interests in asthma, COPD, bronchiectasis, lung nodules and lung cancer. He performs advanced bronchoscopy techniques such as endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS) and electromagnetic navigation bronchoscopy. He provides intensive care unit coverage and pulmonary consultations at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital.

Chad E. Miller, M.D., earned undergraduate degrees in biology and philosophy from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He completed his medical degree at the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham. He did his internal medicine residency and his pulmonary and critical care fellowship training at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, during which he also did additional subspecialty training in pulmonary hypertension and echocardiography. Prior to joining Piedmont Physicians, Dr. Miller was in practice with Georgia Lung Associates. He holds board certifications in critical care medicine, pulmonary disease, and internal medicine. Dr. Miller specializes in the diagnosis and management of patients with pulmonary hypertension and pulmonary vascular disease. He personally evaluates his patients' echocardiograms, performs right heart catheterizations, and he emphasizes the importance of his involvement in these and all aspects of patient care. Dr. Miller is the Director of the Pulmonary Hypertension program at Piedmont Physicians Georgia Lung. He serves as principle investigator for research studies of novel therapies for pulmonary hypertension at Piedmont. In his spare time, Dr. Miller enjoys music, travel, and scuba diving. Brenna Mako, PA-C is a board certified Physician Assistant dedicated to delivering high-quality healthcare. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Spanish from the University of Georgia, and recently graduated from Augusta University earning a Master's in Physician Assistant Studies. Brenna worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant during her undergraduate studies, where she gained invaluable knowledge about patientcentered care for chronic conditions. She is a member of the Georgia Association of Physician Assistants, the American Academy of Physician Assistants, and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. Brenna is enthusiastic about Sleep Medicine and Pulmonology and is looking forward to applying her skills and training toward a team-oriented and supportive environment for her patients.

Ralitza T. Martin, M.D., earned her undergraduate and graduate degree from Universitat des Saarlandes School of Medicine in Homburg, Germany. She went on to do her Internal Medicine residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She then received her fellowship training for Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Emory University and Interventional Pulmonology at Duke University. During her pulmonary fellowship, Dr. Martin also earned her Masters of Science and Clinical Research at Emory University. Dr. Martin is board certified in Internal, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, as well as Interventional Pulmonology. She is also a member of the American Association for Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology, the American Thoracic Society, the American College of Chest Physicians and the Society of Critical Care Medicine.

Her special interests include management of lung nodules, advanced bronchoscopy techniques, robotic bronchoscopy, and minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic interventions for patients with lung cancer and other thoracic malignancies, airway lesions, and pleural disorders.

Dr. Martin was the first physician in Georgia to perform Bronchoscopic Lung Volume Reduction. This is the first FDA-approved lung valve device to help emphysema patients breathe easier and regain daily activities without major surgery.
