David B. Casey, MD, PhD is a native of Opelousas, LA. While attending Southern University, David spent his summers conducting research at Stanford University. Dr. Casey is a member of the American College of Cardiology and board certified in internal medicine and cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Casey is excited to bring his years of training in the treatment of coronary and peripheral vascular disease with minimally invasive techniques to Piedmont.

Dr. Rowe is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease. He performs cardiac catheterizations, transesophageal echocardiograms, cardioversions, echocardiography, vascular ultrasound interpretation, stress test interpretation, and consultative cardiology. Dr. Rowe has been recognized as one of Georgia Trend's 'Top Doctors 2021'in Cardiovascular Diseases.
He enjoys spending time with his wife and children, landscape projects, and being involved with church and the community.

Marcus Sims, MD, FACC, FSCAI is board certified by the American Boards of Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, and Interventional Cardiology and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. Dr. Sims practice offers the latest advancements in cardiology, electrophysiology, and cardiovascular surgery.

Omar R. Kashlan, MD, earned his medical degree from Morehouse School of Medicine. He specializes in coronary artery disease, CHF, and PAD. Prior to joining Piedmont, he was practicing interventional cardiology for eight years.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, jogging, and trying new restaurants. Dr. Kashlan is accepting new patients and welcomes most major insurance plans.

Abhijit Ghatak, MD is board certified in General and Interventional Cardiology. Dr. Ghatak has been practicing medicine for more than 10 years and has performed thousands of cardiac catheterization procedures. He is a recognized expert in cardiology and was featured in the "Georgia Top Cardiologist" in 2021 and 2022.

Demir Baykal, MD, FACC, FASE is board certified and a diplomat of ABIM Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology, Society of Cardiac CT, American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, and the American Board of Clinical Lipidology. He is a recognized national expert in cardiac catheterization, advanced cardiac imaging, advanced heart failure, and pulmonary hypertension.

Badr Harfouch, MD, MPH, FACC, earned his medical degree from the faculty of medicine Damascus University and completed his internal medicine residency at the university of Texas Rio Grande Valley then his cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology fellowship at the university of Texas health science center San Antonio. Dr. Harfouch is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular disease and Interventional Cardiology.

Dr. Harfouch has been practicing medicine for 10 years. Prior to joining Piedmont, Dr. Harfouch was practicing at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore.

Dr. Harfouch specializes in cardiology and interventional cardiology. His special interests include acute coronary syndrome, coronary artery disease, heart failure, hypertension and hyperlipidemia.

In his spare time, Dr. Harfouch enjoys playing soccer and basketball.

Dr. Harfouch is accepting new patients and welcomes most major insurance plans.

Edward Clermont, MD specializes in cardiac electrophysiology, which focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disorders. Dr. Clermont brings a tremendous amount of expertise in caring for patients with many heart rhythm conditions and is be able to diagnose and treat these patients at Piedmont-Eastside Medical Center, in their state-of-the-art electrophysiology lab.
