Piedmont Physicians Neurology Fayetteville Parkinson's and Movement Clinic

As part of our neurology services, we are proud to introduce an outpatient clinic offering high-level specialist care for a variety of neurological conditions. Our goal is to provide a personalized approach using the latest medications, technology-based treatments and new, non-invasive techniques. We also educate our patients about ways to prevent, slow down or reduce symptoms to ensure the best possible quality of life.

About

Evan Johnson was born in the Texas Medical Center, and was largely raised near the Norfolk Naval Base in Virginia before returning to Houston for High School. He worked as a lifeguard/swimming instructor, multi-sport referee, and academic entrance exam instructor for Kaplan during high school and at the College of William & Mary.

Ahead of Medical School, Dr. Johnson earned his Master's degree in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Texas at Houston and spent several years working at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center's Medical Physics / Imaging Research Lab. He ultimately pursued his first love, earning his Medical Degree at the University of Texas at Houston and completing a Neurology residency and Movement Disorders fellowship at Vanderbilt. His practice interests are most centered around advanced treatments for Parkinson's Disease and Essential Tremor, including Deep Brain Stimulation and programming. He is also adept at Botox procedures for Migraine, Sialorrhea, Dystonia, and Spasticity.

Dr. Johnson and his wife Lori have their hands full at home with 2 boys, a new daughter, a husky, and a cat. Dr. Johnson is a former marathon and triathalon participant that still enjoys smaller events at a more reasonable pace. He is fond of Stephen King classics, his vinyl record collection, and reliving much of his youth through his children.

About

Sonal R. Hazariwala, M.D. earned her medical degree from The Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University and completed her residency at Emory University School of Medicine. She received her undergraduate degree in Cell and Molecular Biology and English from Tulane University and is board certified in Neurology, Clinical Neurophysiology and Electrodiagnostic Medicine.

Dr. Hazariwala has been practicing neurology for 18 years. Prior to joining Piedmont, Dr. Hazariwala was working for The Southeast Permanente Medical Group.

Dr. Hazariwala specializes in general neurology. Her special interests include neuromuscular disorders and she treats a wide variety of general neurological conditions, including epilepsy, chronic migraine, and dementia.

In her spare time, Dr. Hazariwala enjoys reading, cooking and spending time with her family.

Dr. Hazariwala is accepting new patients and welcomes most major insurance plans.
