Lindsay Mohney, DO

About

Dr. Mohney is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedics and Physical Medicine at MUSC. She received her medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine - Bradenton, FL followed by residency at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and fellowship training in traumatic brain injury/polytrauma at the South Texas Veterans Health Care System in San Antonio, TX. Prior to embarking on her physician career, she earned a Master of Science in Exercise Physiology from the University of Kentucky. Dr. Mohney is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with subspecialty certification in Brain Injury Medicine. Her clinical area of interest includes spasticity management and acquired brain injury. Throughout her career, she has worked to provide education within the general public and medical community to improve awareness and create an environment that leads to optimal outcomes and imparts a positive impact on traumatic brain injury survivors. In addition to patient care, Dr. Mohney is actively involved in educational programming to help inspire the next generation of physiatrists to cultivate meaningful and excellent careers.

Dr. Milleville is a general physiatrist who provides care across the inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient, and consult settings to optimize function and improve quality of life for patients. Her clinical areas of interest include spasticity management, acquired brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, spina bifida, cerebral palsy, and transplant rehabilitation. Dr. Milleville has a special interest educating future physicians about the care of patients with disabilities. Dr. Milleville received her medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and subsequently completed her internship and residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, where she served as administrative chief resident. She is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedics and Physical Medicine at MUSC.

Dr. Jacob Goatley is a sports medicine physiatrist who provides non-surgical care for musculoskeletal conditions in individuals of all abilities. His practice focuses on the diagnosis and management acute and chronic sports injuries and other musculoskeletal disorders. He utilizes ultrasound for diagnostic and treatment purposes, including ultrasound-guided injections for joint, tendon, and peripheral nerve conditions. Dr. Goatley takes a patient-centered approach, focusing on each individual's goals to support recovery, restore function, and promote long-term physical activity and performance. Dr. Goatley received his medical degree from the University of Toledo College of Medicine, where he also completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and served as Chief Resident. He then completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) as a member of its first graduating class. During fellowship, he served as a team physician for The Citadel and College of Charleston athletics, as well as professional teams including the South Carolina Stingrays and Charleston RiverDogs. He is a member of multiple professional organizations and serves as chairperson for the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation's Overhead Athlete committee. At the Medical University of South Carolina, Dr. Goatley is committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to help patients recover, move better, and reach their full potential.

Dr. Miller is a general physiatrist who provides care to optimize function and improve quality of life in patients with a wide variety of medical conditions affecting the brain, spinal cord, nerves, bones, and muscles. This includes, but is not limited to, patients who have been diagnosed with traumatic brain injury (TBI), spinal cord injury (SCI), stroke, multiple sclerosis, and cerebral palsy, as well as patients who have undergone amputation. His clinical areas of interest include spasticity management, neurorehabilitation, and amputee care. He also performs nerve conduction studies (NCS) and electromyography (EMG) to help diagnose injury and/or disease of the peripheral nervous system. Dr. Miller received his medical degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2020 and subsequently completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Utah. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedics and Physical Medicine at MUSC.
