Dr. W.A. (Jay) Brzezinski completed medical school in his home state of Nebraska at Creighton University and graduated AOA, the medical honor society. He then finished his residency training at Creighton and is board certified in internal medicine. He moved to South Carolina in 1987 and has been a faculty member at MUSC since. He is an associate professor of medicine and a fellow in the American College of Physicians. Dr. Brzezinski's interests in tropical medicine are an extension of his work for 10 years in the Dominican Republic in Latin America where he acted as medical director for an exchange program for medical students. He has a working knowledge of Spanish.Since coming to MUSC, he has concentrated his research efforts in primary care and treatment of hypertension. He has been principal investigator on numerous projects and continues his interest in these areas.Dr. Brzezinski has been an active teacher and has won numerous medical student and resident teaching awards. He has been nominated by the medical students for the Golden Apple teaching award frequently and has won the award five times. Most recently he was awarded the Michael Assey M.D. teaching award by the internal medicine residents as the best attending physician of the year. He also was awarded the Robert F. Kennedy teaching excellence award by the student board of governors as university teacher of the year at Creighton University.In addition to his teaching duties Dr. Brzezinski has an active patient practice at MUSC in primary care internal medicine.

Dr. Brad Keith attended the College of Charleston Honor's Program from 1992 through 1996, earning his BS degree in biology during that time. I then moved to Germany and worked at Heidelberg Army Family Practice clinic and Kaiserslautern Family Practice clinic. Here I specialized in complimentary treatment of chronic pain and became certified in dry needling and battlefield acupuncture. After earning my PhD from MUSC College of Nursing, I retired from civil service in 2020 and started teaching full time at MUSC College of Nursing in the Nurse Practitioner program. I also practiced at a private practice in Summerville. In December 2024 I returned to full time patient care at MUSC Internal Medicine and continue to teach, now as an adjunct, at the College of Nursing.

Kimberly S. Davis, M.D. FACP, graduated cum laude with a BS in Microbiology in 1987 from Clemson University. She received her doctorate in medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in 1993 and completed her internal medicine residency there in 1996. The following year she was chosen to be a chief resident in the Department of Internal Medicine. With that appointment, she joined the faculty of MUSC and is presently an associate professor of medicine with board certification in internal medicine.Dr. Davis' clinical practice is located at University Internal Medicine -- Rutledge Tower, where she has been the physician clinical director since 1999. Her clinical work has earned her recognition as one of the Best Doctors in America since 2003 and her clinical interests include hypertension, type 2 diabetes, and health promotion/preventative care medicine.Dr. Davis is currently the clinical vice chair of the Department of Medicine and involved in many committees at MUSC in her role. She has also been heavily involved in the dissemination of an integrated ambulatory care electronic health record for the university and chairs the steering group for the patient portal, MUSC Health MyChart. She has served on the executive council of the South Carolina chapter of the American College of Physicians since 2000, presently chairing its Scientific Meeting Committee. In addition, she is an active member of the Society of General Internal Medicine.
