Dr. Tara Kelly Van Leuven is an obstetrician/gynecologist, originally from Buffalo, NY. She earned her medical degree at Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington DC, and completed her residency training there as well, at Georgetown University Hospital, in 2012. She then practiced for eight years at Georgetown as an attending physician in the Department of Ob/Gyn, focusing her practice on benign gynecologic surgery. In 2020, she and her family decided to relocate to the Charleston area, where she is excited to join the team at MUSC. She has expertise in the treatment of fibroids and endometriosis, as well as minimally invasive surgery. She also enjoys taking care of women before, during, and after pregnancy. She is committed to evidence-based medicine, the education of medical students and residents, as well as providing personalized, individual care to each and every one of her patients.

Dr. Courtney Poston is a fellowship trained minimally invasive gynecologic surgeon at MUSC Women's Health and assistant professor at the Medical University of South Carolina. She earned her bachelor's degree in biology at Clemson University then received her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. She completed her OBGYN residency at Orlando Health and completed advanced fellowship training in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at Cleveland Clinic Florida.





Dr. Poston's clinical expertise includes the comprehensive surgical and medical management of conditions like fibroids, endometriosis, adenomyosis, pelvic pain, heavy or irregular periods, ovarian cysts, and a range of other complex gynecologic conditions. She is committed to providing individualized, patient-centered care to help her patient's restore normalcy to their lives. She is skilled in hysteroscopy, laparoscopy, and robotic surgery. She focuses on using small incisions and minimally invasive techniques to help patients heal faster and feel better sooner. She also offers fertility-sparing surgery for women who want to have children in the future.





Dr. Poston is excited to bring these advanced skills to her patients in South Carolina. She is committed to giving her patients the best care possible, teaching future doctors, and helping more women get access to safe and effective surgical care with the least amount of pain, downtime, or stress.

Florene Odulana, MD

Dr. Florene Odulana is board certified obstetrician and gynecologist who joined MUSC in 2025. She grew up in Birmingham, AL and earned her undergraduate degree in psychology from Spelman College. After working in the research field, she earned her Master of Science in Medical Science from Indiana University School of Medicine and her Doctor of Medicine (MD) from MUSC. She completed residency at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN, earning numerous awards, including Obstetrics in Excellence and the Heart of Midwifery award. She remained at the institution for six years as a leader in patient care and a leader in education for medical students and resident physicians. During her time as faculty, she was awarded the Golden Stork Award, honoring her low cesarean section rate, and the APGO Excellence in Teaching Award. Dr. Odulana practices evidence-based medicine and understands the importance of listening to her patients, treating all patients with respect, and ensuring their concerns are heard. She practices comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care, with expertise in irregular and abnormal menses, fibroids and surgical management, well woman care, sexually transmitted infections, contraception, VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean), and low-risk and high-risk obstetrics. Dr. Odulana is skilled at caring for women of all ages and appreciates the relationships she develops. She looks forward to meeting each of her patients.

Kelsey Loeliger, MD, Ph.D., FACOG.

Dr. Kelsey Loeliger is a comprehensive obstetrician gynecologist. She is originally from Baltimore, Maryland, where she attended University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) for college. She received her M.D. from the Yale School of Medicine and her Ph.D. from the Yale School of Public Health. After completing her Obstetrics and Gynecology training at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), she completed a Complex Family Planning Fellowship at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) to become an expert in areas such as family planning, contraception, and miscarriage management. Her special interests also include providing high quality, compassionate, and empowering care for people with a history of trauma, sexual dysfunction, gender dysphoria, incarceration, or substance use disorders in pregnancy.





Dr. Loeliger believes that one of the most important aspects of her role as a physician is to provide accurate medical information that helps patients to take ownership over their health. She is also an active researcher whose work focuses on improving access and reducing barriers to care for her patients. She enjoys teaching residents and medical students and holds leadership positions in the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Society of Family Planning.
