Ashley Perdue, MD
Pediatrics, Primary CareAbout
Dr. Ashley Perdue is a general pediatrician who treats children of all ages, from newborns to age 18. Dr. Perdue is originally from West Virginia and earned her bachelor's degree in biochemistry at West Virginia University. She then went on to obtain her medical degree from West Virginia University as well. After graduating, she came to MUSC to complete her residency in primary care pediatrics. She enjoyed her time treating children in the Charleston area during her training so much she decided to stay. Dr. Perdue's clinical interests include breastfeeding medicine, general pediatric care, and treatment of ADHD. Dr. Perdue's approach to patient care is to work with patients and their families to come to a shared decision on the best plan of care for the patient based on the latest updates and guidelines in evidence-based medicine.

Marlo Smith, MD, FAAP

Marlo M. Smith, MD is a board certified general pediatrician. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Chemistry from Vanderbilt University where she graduated with magna cum laude honors. She received her Doctorate of Medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Smith completed her Internship and Residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center - Parkland and Children's Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Her clinical areas of interest include newborn care, asthma, and adolescent medicine. She served as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Tulane University Medical Center and has practiced in private practice, in community health, and as a hospitalist for many years. Dr. Smith is a fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics, a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics, and is a member of the South Carolina Medical Association.
