Milton Armstrong, M.D. is a plastic surgeon with additional training and expertise in hand \& microsurgery. Dr Armstrong's practice includes management of routine hand problems, such as carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger fingers and arthritis. He has expertise in re-attaching amputated fingers and hands and reconstructing pediatric problems, such as webbing of fingers, duplicated digits, and absent thumbs. He has performed over 2,000 breast reductions, hundreds of body contouring operations, burn repairs with skin grafts and microsurgical reconstructions. His expertise, coupled with that of his practice colleagues, makes MUSC Plastic Surgery the most comprehensive destination for state-of-the-art plastic, hand and reconstructive care.





His training includes full training in general surgery (5 years) with an additional 12-month research experience at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. He subsequently completed a two-year fellowship in plastic surgery at Tulane University School of Medicine and a one-year fellowship in hand surgery at the Baylor College of Medicine program. These nine years of post-graduate training after medical school and 29 years of academic practice make Dr. Armstrong uniquely suited to manage complex reconstructive problems.





As an educator, Dr. Armstrong has had the opportunity to train over 50 plastic surgeons, many of whom have gone on to academic careers themselves. He is a director of the American Board of Plastic Surgery, a member of the Board of the Directors of the American Association for Hand Surgery,In addition to his busy clinical practice, Dr. Armstrong serves the Medical University of South Carolina as the chief of plastic, reconstructive and hand surgery and the program director for the 3-year plastic surgery program the flagship Plastic Surgery program in the state of South Carolina.

Dr. Isis Scomacao is a plastic surgeon whose interests include state-of-the-art breast and other oncological reconstructions, surgical treatment of lymphedema, microsurgery, and general reconstruction, as well as scientific research and documentation of innovative practices and procedures that may improve patient outcomes and overall quality of life. She also loves cosmetic plastic surgery and brings her elite Brazilian training and aesthetics to every procedure.





Dr. Scomacao earned her MD in Brazil in 2007, followed by a general surgery residency and then a plastic surgery residency that she completed in 2012 in Curitiba, Brazil. She received the prestigious *Farid Hakme Award* for placing second in the nation on the Brazilian plastic surgery board examination and was also awarded the ASAPS North American Plastic Surgery Fellowship that same year, where she was invited to study with and observe some of the United States' most recognized aesthetic plastic surgeons.





Before moving to the US in 2016, Dr. Scomacao practiced in both the public and private sectors. In her public-hospital based practice, her focus was on post-cancer breast and general reconstruction while in her private practice, the majority of her cases were aesthetic and post-bariatric.





Inspired by her North American Plastic Surgery Fellowship and after a few years of practice in her home country, Dr. Scomacao decided to pursue further training in the US at the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, OH, where she completed a series of fellowships in microsurgery (including supermicrosurgery), craniofacial surgery, and surgical wound care.





Dr. Scomacao has produced numerous peer-reviewed publications and professional presentations and is a peer reviewer for the prestigious Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Journal.

Gabriel Klein, M.D. is a Plastic Surgeon with extensive training in Microvascular Reconstruction. Dr. Klein's practice is focused on restoring form and function to patients who have been affected by cancer, trauma, and chronic wounds. His interests include general reconstructive and cosmetic plastic surgery, free tissue transfer, limb salvage, lymphedema, and breast reconstruction- including DIEP flap and implant-based reconstructions.





Dr. Klein has a strong dedication toward medical education and research. He won multiple teaching awards during his residency, including honorary membership Alpha Omega Alpha. His research interests include clinical outcomes in breast and abdominal wall reconstruction, for which he has written several peer reviewed publications. In addition he has presented on these topics at medical meetings and conferences.





Born and raised in New Rochelle, New York, Dr. Klein completed his undergraduate studies in biology at Cornell University and attended medical school at the State University of New York-Upstate Medical University in Syracuse. After graduating in 2012 he completed a Plastic Surgery Residency at the Nassau University Medical Center- Stony Brook Medicine program. During this time, he also completed a two-year research fellowship and received a Master's Degree in Clinical Research. Upon conclusion of his residency, Dr. Klein completed a Reconstructive Microsurgery Fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic. He joined MUSC as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery in 2022.

Dr. Kevin Delaney's specialties include all techniques of breast reconstruction, including minimally invasive prepectoral breast reconstruction, surgical conversion from subpectoral to the prepectoral breast reconstruction in patients who have had breast reconstruction with implants but have persistent pain, tightness, animation deformity, poor cleavage, or poor cosmetic outcome. Dr. Delaney performs DIEP flap breast reconstruction as well. He also frequently performs cosmetic breast surgery, including breast augmentation and breast lift surgery as well as cosmetic and reconstructive facial surgery.





Dr. Delaney also works closely with the MUSC Weight Loss Surgery Program to help patients complete their journey following weight loss by removing excess skin and fat that frequently develops after weight loss. He has extensive experience in body contouring surgery after weight loss, including abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), brachioplasty (upper arm lift), thigh lift, and liposuction. Dr. Delaney also specializes in the treatment of abdominal wall ventral incisional hernias that require the specialty repair technique of component separation due to the recurrence or large size of the hernias.





A graduate of Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine (NEOUCOM), he completed his general surgery residency as well as a fellowship in plastic and reconstructive surgery at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Delaney then completed a hand and upper extremity surgery fellowship at the University of Miami in Miami, Florida. He is board certified by both the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Delaney is currently an assistant professor of plastic and reconstructive surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina.
