Adam Cohen, MD, received a bachelor of arts degree in biochemistry from University of Pennsylvania. He received his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University. He completed a residency in general surgery at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and a residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Indiana University Medical Center. He also completed a fellowship in hand and microsurgery at Christine M. Kleinert Institute for Hand and Micro Surgery, Inc.
He has been in practice for 16 years, including 14 years spent educating future plastic surgeons. He most recently served as chief of plastic surgery at the Richard L. Roudebush VA medical center and as associate director of the Richard M. Fairbanks burn center.
He has a special interest in striving to restore function through reconstruction and to improve quality of life through aesthetic and corrective surgery.

Dr. Cohen was knowledgeable and compassionate. He carefully communicated all the options for my surgery, including the advantages and risks associated with each option. I appreciated his honesty, his sensitivity to my situation, and his willingness to work together with my preferences to find the best solution. I can't believe my good fortune in finding this surgeon, and I would highly recommend him to everyone.

Dr. Cohen was not able to offer a plan for me based on his experience and knowledge. He referred me to doctors he thought would be able to treat me.

Dr. Cohen is an excellent doctor. He always listens to my concerns and answers accordingly. The surgery was done to perfection. He cares for his patients and is always there if you need anything.
