Emily Jewell, MD, earned her medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine, after earning a Purdue University degree in health and kinesiology with a concentration in biomechanics and exercise physiology. She completed residency at the University of North Carolina, followed by an upper extremity fellowship at Indiana Hand and Shoulder Center. Dr. Jewell is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.
Dr. Jewell has a special interest in hand surgery and microsurgery. She has expertise in medical, surgical and rehabilitative treatments for all parts of patients' upper extremities that affect how the hand and wrist function.
In her spare time, Dr. Jewell enjoys spending time with her husband and their dog. She likes trying new restaurants, watching sports, hiking, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

Dr Jewell is fantastic! You can tell she is passionate about what she does and very knowledgeable. I trust her with my health care any day. I enjoyed talking with her and she ensured I was ok and comfortable throughout the visit and while receiving treatment.
