When I logged in a few minutes early, NP Joseph Gallagher was already online; his punctuality speaks of respect for his patients. NP Gallagher is clearly very knowledgeable and answered a number of questions I had, giving clear and helpful answers. He was friendly and efficient in conducting the consult and I had the sense that I was in good hands.

Gallagher was knowledgeable, respectful, demonstrated correct way to install and use the machine, and was a pleasure to work with during my appointment. He used a multisensory approach to how all the parts of the machine worked, how to clean it, how to problem solve others issues that might arise.

He was rather impersonal, not as patient friendly as I would like.

He would ask me a question, when I tried to answer he kept talking over me.

After seeing 4 other sleep specialist, Joseph Gallagher was the first to actually listen and come up with a plan on how to find out why I am still exhausted after being on a CPAP for 7 years. I feel no more rested than before I started using a CPAP. I am hopeful that he finds some answers and I finally start feeling rested and refreshed after sleeping all night.

I have seen a number of doctors and nurse practitioners at Community Sleep Specialists and all of them have been good so far. I like Joe but if he left, someone else in the practice could also do a good job.

I’ve had two consultations with Mr. Gallagher now and he has made the introduction and use of my CPAP machine easy. I would recommend him to anyone for instructions on CPAP therapy. He also uses a CPAP so he know what he’s talking about from personal experience.

Personable with good communication style. Takes the time to understand issues, discuss them and look for solutions. He was a good addition to the practice, as Dr. Anita lacks all of the qualities Joseph has.
