Parita Patel, MD, earned her undergraduate degree and medical degree at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH. She went on to complete her residency and gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Chicago. She also served as Chief Fellow while at the University of Chicago. Prior to joining Piedmont, Dr. Patel completed her transplant hepatology fellowship at Northwestern University, in Chicago, Illinois.
She is board certified in Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, and board eligible in transplant hepatology. She is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, and American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
Dr. Patel cares for pre and post liver transplant recipients as well as general hepatology patients. She has a special interest in alcohol related liver disease.
In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family. Dr. Patel is accepting new patients and welcomes most major insurance plans.
