Petr Sliva, MD

Petr Sliva, MD, received a bachelor of science degree from Indiana University, and his medical degree at the Indiana University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in family medicine at Community Hospital East in 2024.



Dr. Sliva is passionate about preventive medicine, with an emphasis on lifestyle interventions to positively impact patient lives. Growing up with a brother with Down syndrome, he is particularly interested in longitudinal care for kids and adults with cognitive deficits. He also enjoys taking care of multiple generations of families, from newborns to grandparents, that fit with the broad spectrum of care under family medicine.



In his spare time, he loves to watch and play sports, try out new restaurants in the greater Indianapolis area, and spend time with family and friends, including his wife, who is also a family physician, and their cat, Chip. He also coaches local Special Olympic teams in basketball, soccer, and track and field, as well as enjoys medical brigade work, which he tries to do at least every other year.
