Scott Alfred Fretzin, MD

Dr. Fretzin is a board-certified dermatologist. He grew up on the North side of Chicago and received his bachelor of arts degree from Washington University in St. Louis with a major in philosophy. He completed medical school and an internship at the University of Chicago. He came to Indianapolis for his dermatology residency and board certification at Indiana University School of Medicine (1994-1997). During his dermatology residency he developed a specialty interest in the management of sexually transmitted diseases. Dr. Fretzin still staffs a county STD clinic one day a week.



Dr. Fretzin joined Dr. Dawes in 1997. Their private practice is largely general dermatology and dermatologic surgery. They also offer cosmetic services such as Botox® injections, laser treatment, and chemical peels. In 2004, the doctors opened Dawes/Fretzin Clinical Research Group and have since participated in numerous clinical studies and researched new medications for skin diseases such as psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, skin cancer, and acne.
