Shannon Tighe, MD, joined us in August 2009 after practicing in Shelbyville, Indiana. She is a native of Anderson, Indiana. Dr. Tighe received her bachelor of science degree in biology from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. She attended medical school at Indiana University School of Medicine and completed her residency in pediatrics at Riley Hospital for Children where she served as chief resident. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Tighe is accepting newborn through adolescent patients. Dr. Tighe offers complimentary prenatal visits and same-day sick visits.
Dr. Tighe is married with two daughters. She enjoys playing tennis, reading and gardening, and is a big fan of the Indianapolis Colts!

Dr. Tighe is so friendly and attentive. My children primarily see a different pediatrician at the practice, but we are always happy to see Dr. Tighe or any other doctor at Geist family med if our doctor is unavailable. Dr. Tighe was able to see my son same-day to check on an infection on his thumb and it gave me peace of mind knowing they all care about getting my children in quickly for emergent things.
