S. Chace Lottich, MD, is a board-certified general surgeon specializing in the diagnosis and management of benign and malignant breast disease. As a Community Health Network MD Anderson Cancer Center participating provider, she offers individualized treatment tailored to specific cancers along with a multidisciplinary team of highly specialized cancer care experts. She is available for second opinions to offer peace of mind or additional treatment options.
Dr. Lottich was the first female surgeon to graduate from Duke University where she completed medical school, surgical residency and fellowship. She has been involved with research at the National Science Foundation, participated in Eli Lilly pharmaceutical research trials, and has published and lectured extensively on breast cancer. She is a member of the American College of Surgeons.
She is the proud mother of two sons.

Dr Lottich really hears you and does not rush through the appointment. She explains things in terms you understand.

The appointment took longer than anticipated. We waited at least 30 minutes for her to arrive after we were told she wound be right in, and received not explanation for the delay. The meeting after it started was very short.

The entire experience was professional, medically sound, and very clinical. I had hoped for a warmer feel from all of the staff. The only smile or comfort was at check-in. Everything else was quite a matter of fact. Dr. Lottich was aware of my history and circumstances surrounding it. She took the time to do the job and tell me what she was doing so I did not feel hurried. I just felt interactions with all was cooler than I am comfortable with in life situations.
