Tara Lynn Spivey, MD

Dr. Tara Spivey is a board-certified breast surgeon who devotes her practice to the diagnosis and management of all breast health issues, from benign disease to breast cancer. As a Community Health Network MD Anderson Cancer Center participating provider, she offers individualized treatment tailored to specific cancers along with a multidisciplinary team of highly specialized cancer care experts. She is available for second opinions to offer peace of mind or additional treatment options.
Dr. Spivey received her medical degree from Rush University and Cook County Hospital, Illinois. She completed a fellowship in surgical oncology at the National Institutes of Health, Maryland, and a fellowship in breast surgical oncology at Harvard Hospitals in Boston.
Dr. Spivey is a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons and the Society of Surgical Oncology.
In her spare time, Dr. Spivey enjoys spending time with her husband, three stepsons, her family, and her dog and cat who made the journey with her through medical school.
