Dr. Walid Hadid is an interventional pulmonologist who joined Community Health Network in 2024. Dr. Hadid works with a multidisciplinary thoracic team at Community Health Network MD Anderson Cancer Center to provide the most advanced technology in early detection and diagnosis of lung cancer and the latest treatment to achieve best outcomes. Dr. Hadid's clinical interests include lung cancer, lung nodules, central airway obstruction and airway stenting. He also treats benign airway diseases such as tracheal stenosis.
Dr. Hadid comes to Community from the University of Kentucky. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Cook County Hospital, followed by two fellowships: pulmonary and critical care (University of Illinois at Chicago) and interventional pulmonary (Georgia Medical College at Augusta University). He is certified by the American Association for Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonary as well as board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both pulmonary and critical care diseases.
Dr. Hadid has been a speaker at international conferences, published numerous papers and abstracts in both pulmonary and interventional pulmonary medicine, and been a guest editor for the journal "Cancers". Dr. Hadid is a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians and a member of the American Association for Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology as well as the American Thoracic Society.
