Dr. Liu is a board-certified general surgeon, specializing in breast surgical oncology, and a Community Health Network MD Anderson Cancer Center participating provider. She graduated from medical school at Columbia University in New York. She completed her general surgery residency at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio and her breast surgical oncology fellowship at Vanderbilt University in Tennessee.
Dr. Liu believes in a team-based approach to individualized care. She understands that each patient is unique, and therefore each treatment plan should be customized to meet his or her specific needs. She specializes in the surgical management of breast cancer as well as benign breast conditions. She performs lumpectomies, total mastectomies as well as skin-sparing and nipple-sparing mastectomies.
She is a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons and American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Liu lives in Indianapolis with her husband and daughter. In her free time, she enjoys the arts and traveling abroad.

Dr. Liu was great... explained everything before during and after the procedure so I knew what to expect. I appreciated her kindness, caring, and attention to what she was doing. Everything she said she would did got done, meds ordered, and all within a quick span of time. Great doctor!
