Dr. Brittainy Erby was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and is a graduate of Ohio University Class of 2013 in Athens, Ohio. She graduated from this institution Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences and a minor in psychology. Dr. Erby obtained her medical degree at the Boonshoft School of Medicine through Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, in 2017. She then moved to Charleston, SC, where she completed her residency in General Psychiatry and her fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry through the Institute of Psychiatry here at the Medical University of South Carolina. After completing her training, she became a faculty and staff member in 2022.
Dr. Erby specializes in seeing children, adolescents, and some adults. Dr. Erby is board certified in general psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She also is a member of the South Carolina Psychiatry Association, American Psychiatric Association, and American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She enjoys fitness-related activities, attending church, music, traveling, and community service.
