Frederick St Goar, MD, is a cardiologist. He also serves as the medical director of El Camino Health's Norma Melchor Heart & Vascular Institute.

Throughout his career, Dr. St Goar has contributed to medical research and innovation projects. In 1999, he founded the company that developed the MitraClip™ technology. MitraClip™ is now a leading therapy used around the world to manage mitral regurgitation.
