Dr. Trivedi received his bachelor and medical degrees from SUNY Stony Brook University in New York, and completed his internship and residency at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (formerly the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey). He completed a fellowship in advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery at Hackensack University Medical Center. Dr. Trivedi is the Chairman of the department of surgery at Hackensack University Medical Center at Pascack Valley and is a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons.
A pioneer in robotic surgery, Dr. Trivedi performed the first set of robotic surgeries in the United States using advanced augmented intelligence features in real time. These surgeries were performed using the TransEnterix Senhance Robotic Surgical SystemTM.
He is the author of a textbook chapter on robotic hernia surgery and a journal article in Surgical Forum on hemorrhagic shock. He is an active lecturer, giving presentations around the country and the world, including Bermuda, California, Florida, New York, Japan and Sweden.
Dr. Trivedi has been featured on The View (after he performed Rosie O'Donnell's sleeve gastrectomy surgery) and The Dr. Oz Show to discuss bariatric and weight loss surgery.

Everything was excellent.
Always pleasant and professional!
Very excellent. From the beginning, when he treated me, I realized he was a good surgeon, an excellent surgeon. And he's such an excellent surgeon that when I entered the operating room and they told me, "Get on that stretcher," I don't know if... I went up or down, or they lifted me up. I didn't know anything else about myself. I left. And until now, I feel very grateful and very good about that surgeon. Excellent. Not at all afraid, neither at the beginning nor at the end. So, I am with God's grace, and with him as well. God bless you, and thank you very much.
