John David Koerner, MD

Dr. Koerner is a board certified, fellowship trained, orthopedic spine surgeon. He is dedicated to providing his patients with personalized, evidence-based care. He believes that getting to know his patients as individuals is an important element in providing the best treatment. In addition to traditional surgery, Dr. Koerner utilizes minimally invasive techniques when appropriate, and will refer to colleagues for non-surgical treatment if surgery is not the answer. He combines his extensive clinical knowledge, technical expertise and the most advanced technology to deliver the best outcomes. Dr. Koerner's goal is to restore function and range of motion so his patients can get back to doing the things they enjoy.

Dr. Koerner has authored numerous publications, book chapters, abstracts, poster and podium presentations and has co-edited two textbooks. He is involved in medical student education, as well as resident training. He is a member of several professional societies, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and the North American Spine Society (NASS), where he also serves on multiple committees.
