Christina Grace Baxter, MSN, APRN, NNP-BC, C-ELBW, C-NNIC

Christina Baxter is a highly skilled and dedicated Board Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner. She holds a Doctorate of Nursing from the University of South Alabama (2022) and a Master of Science in Nursing from The Ohio State University (2015). Currently based at the Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital, Christina has been a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner since 2015, specializing in Level IIIc/IV Surgical Neonatal Intensive Care. Her responsibilities include clinical care, delivery room management, and performing procedures within the scope of practice for NNPs.





Christina's certifications include being NCC Board Certified as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP-BC) and specializing in Care of Extremely Low Birth Weight Neonate (C-ELBW) and Neonatal Neuro-Intensive Care (C-NNIC). She is also certified in the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Basic Life Support Provider (BLS).





Beyond her clinical work, Christina is actively engaged in professional organizations such as the Carolinas Association of Neonatal Nurse Practitioners, the National Association of Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NANNP), and the American Nurses Association (ANA).





Christina has contributed to publications, including a recent article in Pediatric Quality and Safety, demonstrating her commitment to advancing knowledge and improving neonatal care.
