He was employed through the Veterans Administration at the University of Pennsylvania as a hospitalist in the medical intensive care unit prior to fellowship. He completed his fellowship at Lenox Hill Hospital in 2013. He served as a hematologist and medical oncologist in Queens, NY for 10 years prior to joining the Medical University of South Carolina. He served as lab director for his practice in NY and has held multiple academic appointments.
