Jeffrey Kliman, MD

Dr. Kliman is one of the few orthopedic surgeons in the country specializing in Anterior Minimally Invasive (MIS) hip replacements.

Dr. Kliman also specializes in muscle sparing, small incision techniques for total knee replacement surgery. This allows for more rapid recovery times. He is also one of the only surgeons in the Bay Area to perform cartilage grafting procedures (autologous chondrocyte implantation/ carticel procedure). This is a Swedish technique to biologically resurface early arthritic knees with a person's own cartilage cells. Dr. Kliman also performs meniscal allograft transplantations for knees where the meniscus has been removed due to severe trauma or older surgical techniques and patients are having significant pain due to the deficiency.

Dr. Kliman treats more common orthopaedic problems such as fractures with nonoperative and operative care. He also performs arthroscopic surgery of the hip, knee, ankle, shoulder, elbow and wrist for various conditions.
