Maria Freitas, AuD

**Maria Freitas, AuD, CCC-A**, is an audiologist within the MUSC Department of Otolaryngology - Head \& Neck Surgery. She earned her bachelor's degree in communication sciences and disorders from the University of Vermont before earning her doctorate in audiology from Northeastern University. She completed her clinical externship year at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston and worked as an audiologist on their staff until 2022. She is a nationally certified and state licensed audiologist with professional associations including the American Speech-Language-Hearing association (ASHA). Dr. Freitas' clinical interests and expertise include diagnostic and rehabilitative audiology. She enjoys providing care to patients of all ages.
