Raabia Ahmad, MD, FACC, is originally from Missouri, where she attended college at Washington University. After completing her bachelor's degree, she attended medical school at Drexel University in Pennsylvania.
Dr. Ahmad then completed her residency and cardiology fellowship at Tufts Medical Center. After completing her medical training, she worked in the Mass General Brigham system for five years before moving to the Bay Area in search of warmer weather. She joined El Camino Health Cardiovascular Specialists in 2021 and has since taken on several administrative roles, including Medical Director of El Camino Health Cardiovascular Specialists and Medical Director of the Heart Failure Program at El Camino Health.
Dr. Ahmad is board certified in cardiovascular disease, echocardiography and nuclear cardiology. She has a special clinical interest in congestive heart failure, preventive cardiology, women's heart disease, cardiac imaging and valvular disease. She strives to connect with her patients on a personal level, educate them on their condition and guide them in joint clinical decision making.
In her free time, Dr. Ahmad enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children, traveling and hiking.
