Sherif Ibrahim is a highly skilled advanced endoscopist with extensive experience in both adult and pediatric populations. He specializes in pancreaticobiliary diseases and is proficient in a wide range of interventional endoscopic procedures, including ERCP, EUS-guided interventions, and therapeutic endoscopy. Dr. Ibrahim obtained his MD from West Virginia University (WVU), completed his residency at the University of Louisville, and pursued his fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of Cincinnati and Cincinnati Children's Hospital. He then completed a combined adult and pediatric advanced endoscopy fellowship in San Antonio through Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Ibrahim currently serves as Director of Endoscopy at the Children's Hospital at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), where he holds a dual appointment in Department of Pediatrics and Medicine practicing Advanced Endoscopy for all age groups. In addition to his clinical work, he has spearheaded clinical trials in ERCP and holds certificates in translational research and global health. He has participated in multiple international medical mission trips, including to Honduras and Fiji, reflecting his dedication to global health outreach. He is an active member of the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA), the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE), and the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (NASPGHAN). Dr. Ibrahim is known for his patient-centered approach and expertise in minimally invasive techniques, delivering high-quality care for complex gastrointestinal conditions across all age groups.
